TubeChef is a SaaS platform for YouTube content creators. We help users analyze their content, generate insights, and improve their channel’s performance using data from YouTube and keyword research tools.

2. What Data We Collect

a. When you register or log in

• First name and last name
• Email address
• Profile image

These personal details are encrypted and stored securely in our database.

b. When you connect your YouTube channel

With your explicit consent, we request access to your YouTube account using additional OAuth scopes. This access is used only to retrieve data about your own channel and videos, and never to modify or publish anything.

📊 YouTube API Usage

Our application uses YouTube API services to provide you with insights into your own YouTube channel and videos.

What data we retrieve:

• Channel data: Channel ID, channel name, profile thumbnail, subscriber count
• Video data: Titles, view counts, publish dates, engagement metrics (likes, comments, etc.)
• Analytics data: Watch time, views, audience retention, traffic sources, top-performing videos

Why we collect this data:

• To give you a clear overview of your channel and content performance
• To display actionable insights in your dashboard
• To generate SEO and content suggestions tailored to your content

What we do not do:

• We do not publish, modify, or delete videos or channel settings
• We do not post anything on your channel on your behalf
• We do not share your YouTube data with third parties unless legally required

Storage and security of this data:

OAuth tokens (including refresh tokens) are stored securely using strong encryption in our database. Tokens are used only for the purposes described above. We do not store private video content or raw video files.

You can revoke access at any time via the account settings in our app. You can also manage third-party access to your Google account at:

3. How We Use Your Data

• Authenticate you and keep your session secure
• Personalize your dashboard and recommendations

• Display keyword insights via the Google Ads API

We do not use your personal data for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

4. Google Ads API Usage

When you use our keyword research features, we query the Google Ads API to retrieve search volume and related keyword data. These queries are based on keywords you enter, and the results are not tied to your identity. No personal data is submitted to the Ads API.

5. Data Storage & Security

• All personal data (names, email addresses) is encrypted at rest
• OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and used securely
• All traffic to and from our services is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS)
• Our infrastructure runs on secure, access-controlled Google Cloud services

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, all associated data (including YouTube tokens) will be securely removed from our systems within 30 days.

If you're located in the European Union or similar jurisdictions, you have the right to:

TubeChef is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child, we will delete it promptly.
